Brief biography of John
John Glasgow was born October 1, 1962 in Nashville, Arkansas, to Thomas Courtlyn and Fern Rosik Glasgow, the youngest of eight children. He was raised on a farm five miles west of Nashville. He graduated in 1980 from Nashville High School, where he was on the football team.
John earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in 1985 from the University of Central Arkansas. Upon graduation he began his career as a certified public accountant with the Baird, Kurtz & Dobson accounting firm in Little Rock, where he remained until 1990, when he joined the accounting team at CDI Contractors construction firm in Little Rock. John continued his education at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and received a Master of Business Administration degree. In 1992 John assumed the role of controller for CDI Contractors; in 1995 he was appointed chief financial officer, and ultimately in 1997 he was became the vice president of the company as well as CFO.
In 1992 John married his best friend and high school classmate, Melinda Hayes, of Nashville. John has been like a father to Melinda's son, Jeffrey "J.T." Franklin, their only child.
John's professional memberships include the Construction Financial Management Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accounts.
John serves on the Salvation Army Advisory Board Executive Committee and is on the Board of Directors of the Downtown Little Rock Partnership.
John enjoys travel, hiking, snow skiing, fishing, art, and antiques.
